Are you on the Voters List?

The countdown is on for October’s municipal election and if you are registered voter in the Township of South Glengarry, you should receive your Voter Letter by October 10th. You will need a Voter Information Letter to vote, as this important document contains a unique PIN number that you will need to cast your vote by telephone or online.

If you don’t receive a letter, it’s possible you are not on our Voter’s List. Not to worry – our helpful Clerk’s department is ready and available to help you out!

To confirm if you are on the Voter’s List, you can contact our Clerk’s department at or 613-347-1166 ext. 2102 or stop by the municipal office in Lancaster. From October 19th to 24th we will also have a Voter Help Centre located at the Legion in Lancaster where you can register to vote.

You can register to vote anytime up until the close of voting on October 24th, but we encourage you to verify you are on the list and register early to avoid any delays on election day.

You are eligible to vote in the Township of South Glengarry if:

  • You reside in the Township or are the owner or tenant of land (or your spouse is a property owner or tenant)
  • You are a Canadian citizen
  • You are 18 years or older on election day.
  • You are not otherwise prohibited to vote.

The voting period opens in just 3 short weeks – be sure you are registered to vote so you can have your say and help SG Break 50!
